Though Absolver features a cleaner sound, it\u2019s easy to hear the musical evolution from their last EP. Various reworkings of old Reality Show songs like \u201cThat Was Easy\u201d and the trio\u2019s bad-ass epic \u201cBlack Cadillacs and Death Make Up\u201d sound louder and harder than before. Newer songs like \u201cShock and Awe\u201d and \u201cA Skip in the Record\u201d offer a musical range missing from previous efforts. Absolver even takes a break from the booze-fueled mayhem with a rare acoustic cut, \u201cHalf Assed Apology.\u201d Although the Savants are known for their relentless wacky hijinks and tomfoolery, Absolver proves that they are at least serious about making a good record.
