Sure, the glockenspiels are gone and he\u2019s matured as a songwriter \u2014 the death of friends being a notable recurring theme \u2014 but he\u2019s still got his trademark nasally, high-pitched vocal delivery and I\u2019m picking up on a lot of similar melodic motifs. There\u2019s no one who could possibly hear both bands and fail to make the connection between \u2019em, that\u2019s all I\u2019m sayin\u2019.Cool album. Good riffs that make me bop my head around. The abrupt ending of \u201cEpiPen\u201d transitioning into the opening of \u201cYou Can Have It All\u201d was jarring in a way I\u2019m not entirely sure worked, but why must music \u201cwork\u201d all the time? Can\u2019t a band just do stuff for fun? Looking forward to their next album in another six or seven years.
