\nThe four of us and the Russian Prince sat down. If you haven\u2019t met him before, I don\u2019 t recommend doing so. After editing out a ton of swears, inaudible slurs, and ridiculous
\noff-topic stories (all on my behalf), this is what I got.
\n<\/em>
\nStylus: Who are you and what instruments do you play?
\nKeith Dueck:<\/strong> I\u2019 m Keith Dueck and I play guitar and sing.
\nKevin Klassen:<\/strong> Uhhhhhhh…
\nRyan Roemer:<\/strong> This is Kevin Klassen and he plays drums. He\u2019s a little drunk. I\u2019m Ryan Roemer and I play the bass. Occasionally I sing when Keith isn\u2019t shooting me the ol\u2019 stink eye.
\nStylus: How do you want portray yourselves as a band?
\nRR:<\/strong> Real nice guys, us in our defining moment, something for our grandchildren to look back at.
\nKK: <\/strong>I think we could finally make it somewhere.
\nStylus: And where would that “somewhere” be?
\nRR:<\/strong> We\u2019d like to work on getting signed, and we\u2019re recording a full length album in February.
\nKD:<\/strong> We\u2019re on the cusp of it. We\u2019re working hard to eventually work hard… Actually, we\u2019ve finally made it to where we want. We\u2019re all so comfortable with each other. We can sit down and have a song written in 10 minutes. We don\u2019t take it so seriously, it\u2019s all for fun. I don\u2019t think we sound like anyone out there.
\nStylus: What is a Dangercat? Are you guys dangercats?
\nRR:<\/strong> It\u2019s just a really aggressive style… No, take this one Keith.
\nKD:<\/strong> To be honest, it\u2019s just a reference from Fubar<\/em>.
\nKK:<\/strong> Are you serious?
\nRR:<\/strong> We are dangercats. Woman is a dangercat. We had to pick something, plus we just liked it.
\nStylus: What influences Dangercat musically?
\nKD:<\/strong> Drugs and alcohol. Nineties rock and pop-punk bands, like Saves the Day, Moves your Life, Hot Water Music, and Blink 182 obviously.
\nKK:<\/strong> Godsmack. Lamb of God.
\nRR:<\/strong> A lot of Nine Inch Nails too.
\nStylus: Besides those bands, what influences you when writing?
\nKD:<\/strong> I\u2019m under the influence most of the time. Wait, is my mom going to be reading this?
\nRR:<\/strong> Drugs and alcohol don\u2019t influence us, it\u2019s just something we do that shows in our music.
\nStylus: That\u2019s an influence…
\nRR:<\/strong> Okay, I was trying to avoid it but, yeah, we like to party!
\nKD:<\/strong> The song \u201cGo Wolves,\u201d is one I wrote when I was losing my mind on mushrooms.
\nStylus: How often do you jam?
\nRR:<\/strong> Twice a week, but all of our song ideas come between three to eight a.m.
\nKD:<\/strong> I prefer to write alone on acoustic, then bring it to jam. All together we make it
\nsound better.<\/p>\n
