Featuring 12 tracks, the disc never loses steam, even on the pensive, moody middle-album numbers \u201cThe Rapture\u201d and \u201cTravelin\u2019 Song.\u201d Personal highlights for me are the title track,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7aRpO6nJQRY\" target=\"_blank\"> \u201cNeedle in the Hay,\u201d<\/a> and a beautiful cover of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hwftsGjVWts\" target=\"_blank\">Neil Young\u2019s<\/a> \u201cUnknown Legend.\u201d \u201cThe Flame is Gone (Country Bitchin\u2019)\u201d is also a beauty in the vein of old <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=5zSizm2vYSc\" target=\"_blank\">Conway Twitty \/ Loretta Lynn<\/a> duets, where gambling and drinking and running around are hashed out in the parking lot of some backwoods honky tonk. My only concern with the disc is that it is over too soon. Let\u2019s hope it doesn\u2019t take so long for the 7s to put out their next disc, because short and mean as it may be, <em>All Kinds of Mean<\/em> leaves me with a mighty thirst for more.
