There\u2019s probably a good reason this one got here in such a timelier manner: the folks at Six Degrees must\u2019ve realized this duo\u2019s eclectic indie pop would hook and intrigue music lovers across our continent. Like <a href=\"http:\/\/lykkeli.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lykke Li<\/a>? <a href=\"http:\/\/www.austramusic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Austra<\/a>? Pop music that is innovative and moves beyond a simple do-re-mi? You might like The D\u00f8. Hailing from Helsinki and Paris, Dan Levy and Olivia Merilahti play a multitude of instruments: flute, saxophone, harp, xylophone&#8230; plus the usual keyboards, guitars and percussion. They even show influence from jazz, hip-hop, electronica, traditional folk and classical music. The D\u00f8 go from dark to light, with one extreme of downright saccharine cutesiness \u2013 note <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=g_QImlDjlHA\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cThe Calendar\u201d<\/a> \u2013 compared to the brooding rhythms and almost punky lyricism of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3vC-xxpl6o8\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cGonna Be Sick!\u201d <\/a>Recommended tracks?
