Themes common throughout Leonard\u2019s oeuvre pop up throughout. \u00a0As expected, Biblical imagery is explored and interspersed with verses of lust and longing. \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dQlLWnbco_I\" target=\"_blank\">Going Home<\/a>\u201d opens the album with Cohen exploring his own legend, while <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=RsR8icSiCIY\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cShow Me The Place\u201d<\/a> makes effective use of strength of Cohen\u2019s aged voice, rather than exposing its weaknesses. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Rop4EpD2zqs\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cBanjo\u201d<\/a> is a fun little number that finds Leonard exploring the tiny rays of light that we often hold onto in this \u201cdark infested sea\u201d we are all wading through. The best part of this mix is, despite the very obvious title playing on the fact that this is really just another chapter in Cohen\u2019s catalogue, is that none of these old ideas come off as trite or rehashed. If you\u2019re an old convert, you\u2019d be crazy not to have this one already. If you\u2019re new to Cohen, this isn\u2019t a bad place to start. Recommended if you\u2019re anywhere in between, too.
