We&#8217;ve got the Jazz Fest winding up, MEME Festival beginning (take a look here tomorrow for our feature on the festival). Bryan frickin&#8217; Adams is in town on Friday! Shoot, the list really goes on and on. See you on the streets! &#8211;\u00a0Sheldon Birnie<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Burning Kettles w\/ Yes We Mystic &amp; TWIN @ the Lo Pub &#8211; Friday June 22, 9 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m quite proud to be one of the few people who are able to say that they&#8217;ve been there since the beginning of the Burning Kettles. I&#8217;ve been able to witness the band evolve from a two-person project that emerged from the depths of high school, to what it is today: a thriving, exciting, and fascinating 6-person folk-pop experiment. \u00a0While my earliest memories of Burning Kettles shows include ice cream shops and empty church altars, I&#8217;m excited to see the group take the Lo Pub this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/326111740801900\/\">Friday<\/a>. Playing with them will be fellow folkers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=iYJWNg8Qr_o\">Yes We Mystic<\/a>, and Twin. In similar fashion to to Burning Kettles, Yes We Mystic and Twin are both taking folk as their own and in their own right, and having a good ol&#8217; time all the ways long. \u00a0This is the first show that the Burning Kettles have played in a while, and it is long overdue. I&#8217;m pretty pumped (if you couldn&#8217;t tell by my nostalgia-fest several lines earlier).
