From the opening bars of \u201cClouds Below,\u201d the sounds of a music box welcomes listeners to a peaceful dreamscape. <!--more-->Along the path of folklore, the lyrics throughout Poor Moon\u2019s debut release are also calming, poetic, whimsically rhyming, and pleasantly vague, all intertwined and woven with elements of mystery and enchantment. The team out from Seattle of Ian and Peter Murray, along with Christian Wargo and Casey Wescott of the <a href=\"http:\/\/fleetfoxes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fleet Foxes<\/a>, seems to have found a fairly unique sound. Soft voices that blend into the well thought out arrangements of various instruments \u2013 of which none sound to be out of place. Poor Moon was built around Wargo\u2019s song and compositions; his material might just have added yet another hit group to Sub Pop\u2019s already stunning line-up of successful and up-and-coming artists. In particular \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rLCNkkJTcSs\" target=\"_blank\">Clouds Below<\/a>,\u201d \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=_iLfxlJCMJI\" target=\"_blank\">Phantom Light<\/a>,\u201d \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wv0cnTw0sls\" target=\"_blank\">Heaven\u2019s Door<\/a>,\u201d \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=e9RFAs8DKy4\" target=\"_blank\">Come Home<\/a>,\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-JGseJTX6Xw\" target=\"_blank\">Birds<\/a>\u201d have a strong sense of fairy tale and childhood storytelling. Doesn\u2019t it make a couple cookies, some warm milk, and a warm bed seem like a pleasant situation?
