Paint is a band full of fight and passion \u2013 in an upbeat non-aggressive sense. The standard composition in how songs build up does not take too much away from the crisp and confident feel. Plus, when the singer has a style to match the punk style, the music can\u2019t go too far astray! As Johannes is an activist the lyrics reflect with a nice leftist political flare, not overwhelmingly noticeable, but a tinge that is easy to catch if it\u2019s searched out; \u201cLack of foresight, lack of insight\u201d or \u201c\u2018I\u2019m not afraid of change\u2019 he said,\u201d for example. My personal favorite of all the pointed word combinations was the rhyming of \u201cscoundrel love affairs\u201d with \u201cpo-lice with trigger fingers\u201d in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=odibT7y9XEA\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cIf The Walls Could Talk.\u201d <\/a>These attempts at inspirational lyrics, which aim for meaning rather than how they roll off the tongue, are where Paint\u2019s second LP could set them apart from other bands.
