It&#8217;s the Weekender!<!--more--><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, June 6, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s that time of the month again, friends! <em>Stylus<\/em> magazine hits the streets with a brand new edition, and the Rose N Bee Pub plays host to our launch party!<\/p>\n<p>Kicking things off at 11:00pm is <a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/hana-lu-lu-music\" target=\"_blank\">Hana Lu Lu<\/a>, prepping for an appearance at Winnipeg Jazz Fest later this month! Contributor Dave Skene (Manic Shakes, <a href=\"http:\/\/maryjanestolemygirl.bandcamp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mary Jane Stole My Girl<\/a>, many more) will play a tweener set of his original material and some well placed covers. Finishing off the evening is electro project aband*nthecar.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re into stand-up comedy, make sure to come early and check out Open Mic Night, hosted by Mike Green, from 9:00pm to 10:30.<\/p>\n<p><em>Admission is free, but all donations raised will go towards keeping Stylus sustainable into the future.\u00a0<\/em><strong>&#8211; SB<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, June 7, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.missraemusic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Miss Rae<\/a> has got one of the biggest and best blues voices in the city, and I know that you won\u2019t want to miss her show at the Park Theatre\u00a0this Friday. In an effort to raise funds for their upcoming album, Miss Rae &amp; the\u00a0Midnight\u00a0Ramblers will be jammin\u2019 away at the Park on\u00a0Friday, June 7. Come out for an evening of good ol\u2019 delta blues, old jazz &amp; soul tunes, along with the guitar pickin\u2019 ways of Young Ben Roscoe.\u00a0\u00a0Don\u2019t miss this opportunity to catch awesome local blues, with a breath of new life!<\/p>\n<p><i>Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door at the Park Theatre (598 Osborne St).
