The key is simplicity in each of the layers; simple and catchy melodies, pithy soundbites in plain-speak for lyrics, and a delicious kiss of world beat in the synth fills. All these layers add up to create a pop sound that is as modern as it is retro. The title track ends the album with airy 80s synths reminiscent of FM before soft landing with a dreamy ambient outro. Best described as well-crafted island vibe synth-pop, <em>When The Night<\/em> is light and bouncy dance music. \u00a0The album contains no less than four potential singles yet is more than a collection of songs, \u00a0playing like a single cohesive piece. \u00a0A near perfect pop album.
