Okay, we\u2019re going to combine wishy-washy synthesizer reminiscent of an imagined \u201880s childhood that we failed to experience, with an aesthetic that encapsulates the style of the \u201880s without looking like anything from the \u201880s! It\u2019s a very relaxing sound, vaguely similar to the new wave music my dad likes. You can chill out while listening to it. Perhaps it\u2019s&#8230; chillwave?\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIsn\u2019t that five years out of date already?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, you don\u2019t understand! Listen to how beautiful and androgynous my voice sounds when I autotune it! This is the sound that will propel us to superstardom! This is the sound that a fourteen year old will put on their mixtape to show that they know what\u2019s hip!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOkay. Sure. But what are you going to call this band?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, I\u2019ve got these two words, one syllable each. It\u2019ll hit the listener\u2019s ears like BOOM BAP and they\u2019ll remember it for sure. The first is \u2018Ghost.\u2019 That\u2019s to symbolize that we\u2019re conjuring up ancient half-remembered memories in a vaguely melancholy way. And the other\u2019s \u2018Beach.\u2019 That shows that we\u2019re still some seriously fun loving people, and that you can listen to our music in the summer! How brilliant is that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s great.
