It recalls the strange reptilian alien drawings on the rudimentary working cover for the album, dark and strange, a bit slithery. And that\u2019s just the first six minutes. Throughout the record, Human Music glides through lazy, East Coast-inspired, anti-pop gems (\u201cMt. Climb\u201d); sunshine-y and sweet kick-back anthems (\u201cCool Party\u201d); blurry, low-key, reverb-drenched numbers (\u201cDark Zone\u201d); and the poppy, late \u201860s swirl and spin of guitars on songs like \u201cJazz Kids,\u201d where singer Cole Woods, in a Lou Reed-esque drawl, sings, \u201crollin\u2019 with jazz kids\/rollin\u2019 up jazz cigs\/we think it\u2019s tragic\/\u2019cause we know you planned it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The album is peppered with instrumentals and in-studio soundbites of conversations.
