What is going on in Winnipeg this weekend?!?
Thursday, November 22nd
Mark Sultan (aka BBQ) hits the Windsor like a magical whirlwind of pure Rock N Roll. If you’ve never seen BBQ’s show before, whether with King Khan or solo, or with any of his previous acts (Spaceshits, etc), then you’re missing out on some good, sweaty fun. Backed up by local rockers Rock Lake and The Electrics, this Draft Night may just prove to be the best yet down at the Windsor.
Tickets have been on sale, but since you’ll be reading this hours before the show at best, I say get yrself down to the Windsor pronto! -SB

Australia’s Xavier Rudd is bringing his new album Spirit Bird to the Burton Cummings Theatre. His sixth full length, the social and environmental activist has put together an album of triumphant and desperate pleas and choruses. Joining him are the The Ohnia:kara Singers from the Niagra Region, as well as the Perpetual Peace Project. There is risk of the show being stolen by openers Good Old War, who won me over with some fantastic performances at this year’s Winnipeg Folk Festival.
Doors at the Burt are at 7:00 PM with the show starting at 7:45 PM. This show isn’t cheap folks: tickets are $29.95/$41.00, available through Ticketmaster.
