I’ve been a fan of The Creepshow for some time now. I’ve seen them live a bunch at the Pyramid and the Albert and they never disappointed. Life After Death is their fourth album and normally I’d be pumped, but the lead singer Sarah Blackwood is no longer part of the band. Don’t get me wrong though, I loved the new album. It’s got that same upbeat psychobilly feel I’ve come to expect, but I just can’t love them the same without Blackwood. Like an adolescent scared of the word love, I’m in strong “like” with The Creepshow. Kenda Legaspi is the new front woman and she definitely does not disappoint. If you’re a Creepshow fan you’re still going to like this. Treat it like a movie remake and don’t compare it to the old stuff. (Stomp Records, stomprecords.com) Kaitlyn Emslie Farrell
