OK. So maybe summer hasn’t quite embraced us entirely just yet, but it is concert season. And running season (and just “getting in shape” in general season, then getting out of shape from too much drinking, then in shape again, then out, you get it.)
In support of the 12th annual Run for Rights, the Run for Rights Benefit Concert is goin’ down this Friday at the West End Cultural Centre. Cheering for the Bad Guy, Chris Ladd, and the Vincetones get you in the mood to run with their brash and brassy slicks, while Miss Rae warms you up in the main lobby at 7:15.
Tickets are $15 in advance – doors at 7:15 and show’s at 8! Be there to show your support! -VK
If you’re itching for some quality folk music, make sure to check out the great Jay Aymar at the Folk Exchange. We had a nice little conversation earlier this week, which you can check out here on yesterday’s Hillbilly Highway. Jay is a great Canadian songwriter, and a beauty of a guy.
Jay Aymar at the Folk Exchange gets going at 8:00PM. Admission is $12 at the door. -SB
