Hope you’re planning to head to the Windsor tonight, because our pals over at the No Label Collective a little something special planned. Songs in the Key of Hope: The Derek Wheeler Story is an ambitious 19 track compilation inspired by the late Neil Hope’s character Derek Wheeler (aka Wheels) from Degrassi. Featuring contributions from No Labellers & friends, including Hey Pilgrim, JohNNy SiZZle, Sons of York, the Manic Shakes, Vav Jungle and more, the compilation is sure to be ripping up local charts at CKUW and UMFM in no time.
The evening begins at 8:00 with a CD listening party. With JohNNy SiZZle acting as MC, the night will then feature of Wheels tribute video, followed by short sets from Thrift Store Love, Merch Table Delite, Vav Jungle & The Groovy Accoutrement, Ex Modern Teen, Dust Adam Dust, Kato Destory, and special guests to be announced. It should be awesome.
