Anyone with a love of percussion and drums
will want to check out a live in-studio interview
with one of the most important percussionists
in music – not just jazz – Alex Acuña, on One
Man’s Jazz on Saturday Sept. 26.

Perhaps best well-known for his stint with Weather
Report, Alex Acuña has been a force in the
business, recording with people such as Ella
Fitzgerald, Joni Mitchell (Don Juan’s Daughter),
Beck, U2, The Smithereens, Los Lobos, Joe
Cocker, Seal, and many, many other artists in
    every imaginable genre.

Musicians such as Alex Acuña rarely find their
way to the CKUW studios, but we’ve got him.
Live on the 26th, around 2:30 pm.
