    Bob: Good day eh

    Doug: Good day

    Bob: Amateur Hour is having like a Bob and Doug McKenzie special eh because its like the great white north’s birthday or something eh.

    Doug: In other words it’s an excuse to go get hosed eh.

    Bob: Yeah so get a couple kegs and listen at home eh.

    Doug: Yeah or if you driving your ’68 Ford Fairlane two door, blue, with a black vinyl top, three-speed on the tree, and an FM radio in it you should tune in eh.

    Bob: We have some bad Canadian music we’ll be playing. No Celine Dion though.

    Doug: It will be a beauty.

  • Voyage to Simon Fisk

    Orginally from the East Coast of Canada, Simon moved to the West Coast and very quickly became a sought after bassist on the Vancouver jazz scene, performing and recording in a variety of bands, and various projects.

    In 2003, Simon embarked on his own solo career, releasing two CD’s with his much-applauded ‘Simon Fisk Trio’. The first, ‘Trainwrecks’ was nominated for a Western Canadian music award (Outstanding Jazz Recording) in 2003, and the second, ‘Intent’, was nominated for a pair of Leo Awards for Best Video and Direction. Both releases received tremendous response from the critics, and audiences alike.
