  • “Women Without Men”

    Join Hilaire and guests as they discuss the movie “Women Without Men” including perspectives from Iran, Africa and Canada.

    The movie, which is banned in Iran, will be shown at 8 pm on Thursday, November 25th at Pauline-Boutal Hall, Franco-Manitoban Cultural Centre, 340 Provencher Boulevard.

    Tickets are $10 each, they are available at the door or can be purchased in advance by calling Marzieh at 509-4995, or Allan at 899-1347.

  • Richard Gillis on The Man Cave

    Tonight The Man Cave welcomes Richard Gillis, Artistic Director and co-founder of the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra. Gillis is also a member of the Trio Bjorn Thoroddsen and has recorded with the Reykjavik Big Band.

    Classics Professor Jane Cahill returns to Pages on Thursday, Nov. 18th with the first of another series featuring the Greek myths, It’s All Greek To Me.

    Along with her modern recounting of Hermes, host Ron Robinson will have a pair of tickets to give away to the Manitoba Theatre For Young People’s production of Jason and The Argonauts. Pages – Radio for Readers every Thursday from 5-5:30.
