    It’s another Halloween and time for the Annual A-PAC Halloween Special of 2010. Practically every Halloween since 2002, Tim Morgan, the Almost Professional Amateur Comic, has been scaring the laughs out of listeners on his yearly spook special. This year he’s got a new spooky sponsor, a spooky prediction for the future, the always spooky, and usually gross, Darwin Awards, spooky yet funny ghost stories and rumour has it Tim is going to be returning to the haunted spooky town of Corpston after 8 long years. Make sure you tune in or Tim will cry pathetic yet spooky tears.

  • THE VEOLIA FILES: A People of Interest Special

    Tune in to CKUW this coming Monday for a special report on the company Veolia.

    Veolia is the company procured by the City of Winnipeg to oversee sewage upgrades. A lot of concern has been raised about the secrecy of the project as the public and even councilors have not seen the details of the thirty year, $660 million contract.

    What do Winnipeggers know about this company? CKUW volunteer and Council of Canadians-Winnipeg Chapter Chair, Michael Welch, will present his research on the pros and cons of dealing with this firm.

    Ron will be hosting Mike Ford in studio for the entire show this Thursday on Pages. The former Moxy Fruvous member has been doing his own Canadian history gig for a number of years.

    He’ll be drawing from his two cds devoted to Canadian events and greats and chat about his 7pm gig at the CanWest Centre for Theatre & Film, University of Winnipeg, 400 Colony Street.
