Blues Druid is the debut LP from Satanic Rights, a lo-fi, garage/punk rock band from Winnipeg. Released by the indie Transistor 66 Records, the album follows up on the heels of their 2015 self-titled EP release. On October 22nd, Real Love Winnipeg is hosting a show featuring a wonderful lineup at The Handsome Daughter. Chicago’s Advance Base makes a stop in Winnipeg to promote the newly released and beautiful Animal Companionship. Along for this leg of the tour is the band Friendship, a low-wave dark-pop group from Philadelphia.

Winnipeg’s beloved DIY record label, Birthday Tapes is back with Birthday Wishes Volume 2. A 17 song compilation album featuring artists from all over Canada and the US. The album features lo-fi pop gems from some of Winnipeg’s most buzzed about bands including iansucks, House Panther, and notme as well New York’s Thanks for Coming. Birthday Tapes has shared a sneak peak of the album with Lounge Fm’s “Slumber Party”. Check out the mellow and catchy tune below.
