  • One Man’s Guest

Posted by Robin on May 28th, 2008

One Man’s Jazz will have a special guest on the show of June 7th. Shawn Pierce, who recently took up residence in Winnipeg, is one of Canada’s top recording and mixing engineers as well as an award winning composer for television, film and video games.

Shawn has engineered and mixed several JUNO Award-winning recordings, been nominated dozens of times for JUNO’s, WCMA and West Coast Music Awards.

Most recently, he engineered and mixed guitarist Bill Frisell’s latest project, “History, Mystery”. And with many other jazz projects under his belt, you can expect to hear him talk about Canadian jazz artists he’s worked with. Might hear a little Frisell too.
