Station founder, David Shilliday dropped by CKUW last week. He started CKUW as CJUC (then United college) back in 1963! It was really exciting to hear first hand about the history of our station and to learn that it’s four years older than what we thought.
David hasn’t lived in Winnipeg for years and had no idea his little University hobby had grown into a full fledged FM community station. Thanks David for your vision and hard work!
