Local artist Fame, and various Australian pre, punk and post punk bands including the Triffids, New Christs and Radio Birdman (‘Australia Calling’ preview) fill out the bill.     Although this week marks our 11th birthday on the FM dial, CKUW is actually a lot older. In 1963 a student named David Shilliday, along with physics prof. Ron Riddell started a closed circuit station at U of W. Here’s a page from Sept. 1963 ‘Freshie Handbook’ introducing radio to the unsuspecting campus:

    So does this mean we’re a middle aged pre-teen??
