Fundrive arrives on Friday
February 8th – 15th is the annual CKUW Fundrive: an on-air pledge campaign celebrating community radio with a week of special programming.
Starting Friday at 1pm, listeners will be encouraged to call 204-774-6877 and pledge their support for listener driven radio.
In addition to the good feeling of supporting democratic media, many donors will be thanked with special CKUW Fundrive T-shirts, toques and the fabulous CKUW Friends card, useful for discounts at many local businesses. As 2013 marks the 50th anniversary of our founding we are giving away 50th anniversary kazoos for donors to make noise in celebration!
Fundrive 2013’s exclusive T-Shirts feature a unique gramophone design by local designer Andrew Mazurak.
