  • Resonating Reconciliation

    CKUW has been awarded a grant under the Resonating Reconciliation project of the NCRA. Chris Reed and Stacey Lee Wozny are working on a documentary examining government agencies and their responsibility in assisting with reconciliation for Indian Residential School survivors. Once complete, the documentary will be aired on CKUW and on other NCRA stations across Canada.

    Our news department is led by news director Michael Welch and assistant Jordan Poitras, a team that recently won a national award at the NCRA Community Radio Awards. Our feature news program ‘People of Interest’ can be heard Monday through Wednesday at 8am. Other local programs on CKUW cover a wide range of topics including:

    The UWSA Freestyle Festival runs Sep 30 – Oct 5th. Many great events on campus including breakdance battles, films, basketball tourney and NYC graf artist Cey Adams,

    Freestyle Radio is on the air every day from noon to 1pm.
