    Eat Your Arts And Vegetables (Thursdays 530pm to 6pm) did an interviewed Christine Lesiak and Ian Walker Interview for their Fringe play “FOR SCIENCE” They ended up posting the interview on their website here

    Tune into a special live broadcast of Eat Your Arts & Vegetables on July 20th at 530pm with Gwen Coburn for her Fringe show “Sad Girl Songs: A Comedy Show”, a “musical not-your-typical-comedy is about the #MeToo movement in entertainment, and how our language and stories shape rape culture

    Brother Kelly Hughes of the Ivory Tower will be doing live interviews of Fringe performers through the Fringe Festival

  • Radio Camp 2023

    We still have a few spots for youth to sign up for Radio Camp. Camp is for youth ages 10-13 it is a chance to learn about radio and media, have fun and make friends. It’s free, it’s fun, and it includes lunch! Sessions this year are:

    • July 10-14
    • July 17-21

  • Pride Radio Marathon June 2nd 2023

    Our first ever Pride Radio Marathon happened at 1pm on Friday June 2nd. Thank you to all the wonderful guests from our community for sharing their thoughts and music on air!

    • 1pm – Megan Jessie
    • Awesome queer punk music
    • 2pm – Salem Roby
    • A lot of punk/indie rock/grunge from non-mainstream bands, most with queer themes or queer band members.
    • 2:30- Lake Best
    • Out on the Air Waves, featuring a small yet mighty sample of queer, indie artists from across North America.
    • 3pm – Ryleigh Todd-Moore
    • A mix of talking about the history of two-spirit individuals and their importance within Indigenous culture, but also playing music created by Canadian Indigenous two-spirit peoples.
    • 4pm – Victoria Kohut
    • Shoegaze, dream pop, post-punk, electronica and experimental music anchored by overarching queer themes and perspectives. awesome queer punk

    On Tuesday March 28th CKUW staff and volunteers gathered to pay tribute on-air to Rockin’ Ronnie Lindsay. Ronnie passed away in February, he was CKUW’s longest serving volunteer having been with the station since 1985! The program features LP’s from Ronnie’s extensive record collection and remembrances from friends and colleagues. You can click on the link to download or listen through your web browser.
