You may remember Peg City Groove on CKUW 95.9 FM. For over a decade we’d let you know what was going on this weekend. Our show featured Manitoba artists and bands, the occasional live performance and info for listeners on how to support the local scene.
Well, we’re back and we wish it was for different circumstances. Covid-19 has hurt the local music scene with shows cancelled, venues shut down and industry layoffs; we wanted to do something to connect listeners to the local music scene they miss while promoting artists and venues who need support.
